honesty about the timeline
Organic growth is slow at the start. We tell you month three, not next week, and we'd rather lose the deal than promise a shortcut we don't believe in.
the people behind driftwood · wasilla, alaska
That's the whole studio. No account managers you never meet, no offshore content mill. When you email Driftwood, one of the two of us reads it and writes back — usually the same day.
how driftwood started
Before Driftwood, we spent years inside agencies watching clients pay for keyword dumps, thin blog posts, and dashboards nobody read. The work looked busy. It rarely moved anything. And the people paying for it were too nervous to ask why.
So we started small on purpose. A studio that takes a handful of clients at a time, writes every article by hand, and explains what's happening in words you could read out loud to your boss. If a month didn't earn its keep, we wanted to be small enough to say so.
Wasilla is home — quiet, a little remote, good for the kind of patient work that search rewards. We keep hours by appointment so nothing gets rushed, and we work with teams across every time zone from that one desk.
what we hold to
Organic growth is slow at the start. We tell you month three, not next week, and we'd rather lose the deal than promise a shortcut we don't believe in.
Every article is drafted, edited, and fact-checked by people who learned your product. If a draft sounds hollow, it doesn't ship — it gets rewritten.
We only take on what two people can do well. A short roster means your emails get answered and your month never gets lost in a queue.
One short page a month, in plain English: what we published, what moved, what's next. No acronyms you'll have to quietly Google afterward.
what it's like to work with us
You'll get to know both of us — the strategist who maps your searches and the writer who turns them into articles. We share one inbox and one calendar, so there's never a game of telephone between you and the work.
